Loughborough 2010 Beer Festival
|

The Polish Club (off William Street) in Loughborough will again be our venue for the 34th Loughborough Beer Festival which will run from Thursday 4th March until Saturday 6th March.
There will be around 75 different real ales available, including approx 20 LocAles. Our local brewery , SHARDLOW BREWING COMPANY, will be sponsoring some of the beer including the festival special. There will be a range foreign bottled beers chosen by Eric, many of which are new to the festival. For those preferring something different, there will be a wide range of fruit beers, ciders and perries. We will also have some local wines and Mead. Free soft drinks will be available for drivers.
Live music will feature on Friday and Saturday nights with Thursday remaining a quiet night devoted to drinking and conversation. There will be no admission charge on Thursday
As usual there will be a commemorative glass which will be available to buy or hire. This year we will have a joint Loughborough and Quorn 2010 1/2 pint festival tankard which is being sponsored by The Moon and Bell (our local Wetherspoons). If you wish to have a clean glass, please swap it at the entrance desk (subject to availability).
Our glass design this year features the usual fox who leaning on a bell. This is to comemorate the GREAT PAUL BELL which was cast in Loughborough in 1881 for St Pauls Cathedral. The mould for the bell will be going on display in Loughborough later this year.
